Delicious! What a great find. Each dish has its own distinct flavor. We had the meal for two. Started with chicken and corn egg drop soup which we had to stop eating or we would have been full. Then the crispy duck pancakes...oh my. Our entrees were sweet and sour chicken, a beef dish bursting with flavor, a veggie dish and scrumptious fried rice. So full and happy.
Full of local Chinese people so we ate like the locals. An extensive dim sum and regular menu.
Only negative was it was a bit noisy. -

Giving this a 5 stars for the quality and price in Leicester.
This is a cantonese/hong kong style Chinese restaurant that is well loved by even Hong Kongers themselves (my friends and their families love this restaurant). I think this speaks a lot to its quality and authenticity in terms of chinese cantonese foods.
They do both dim sum (think chinese style tapas/small plates served in the morning and brunch), as well as usual chinese dishes for dinner.
Definitely recommend this to any person who actually appreciates real chinese food instead of westernized ones. -

I went to Shanghai moon twice for dimsum. They have a good range of dimsum choices & tasted good to me since I'm a big dimsum fan & have been to many dimsum places in Manchester & Hongkong.
Downstairs could be quite crowded on a weekend lunch time. They do have spacious seating upstairs, although it smelled of fresh paint when I was sitting next to the window.
Price was reasonable & I would go back again. -

A very authentic Chinese in the centre of Leicester, very popular with the eponymous community.
Good service and reasonable prices.
